NEW INFORMATION FOR FINANCIALLY HARD-PRESSED GHA FACTORED HOMEOWNERS

GHA Ltd. have found £2 million to give to tenants who are having difficulties paying their Bedroom Tax.  This is good news for tenants.  However, this money is not from the Discretionary Payments Programme.  This is money that the GHA have been able to find from nowhere.  The GHA should also be helping factored homeowners who are struggling to pay back large sums of money for home improvements.  We believe that GHA Ltd. and the Scottish Government should establish a Hardship Fund to help hard-pressed factored homeowners who are paying back large sums of money for home improvements.  This is very important, as some homeowners have been taken to court, one of whom has recently tried to commit suicide.  It is very important that all GHA factored homeowners who owe GHA a lot of money should contact Sean Clerkin on 07948-010959 and/or come to the Glasgow Homeowners’ Campaign meeting on Thursday 21 November at 7 p.m. at the Jury Inn Hotel, Jamaica Street, Glasgow.
